HOT TUB COVERS & SPA COVERS: CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning hot tub covers is a typical part of the routine of hot tub maintenance. Mildew will tend to grow anywhere it can that is damp and dirty vinyl will attract and hold mold and mildew. Eventually, this weakens the vinyl and will cause a failure of the hot tub covers vinyl skin. Dirt also acts as an abrasive to the vinyl and will also cause otherwise avoidable wear to the fold, the seams and even the hot tub covers stitching.

Simple, monthly cleaning of hot tub covers can be accomplished by the following.

1). Rinse the hot tub covers top and sides with a garden hose to remove the easy dirt and prepare for cleaning.
2). Use a gentle and biodegradable soap, that has no harsh chemicals like Green Works and wipe the hot tub cover clean.
3). Should you have hard to remove stains, try using vegetable oil or sun screen
4). Rinse the hot tub cover thoroughly

Applying 303 Protectant?

Once the hot tub covers are dry, you can apply the 303 Protectant. Our 303 Protectant is like sun block for your hot tub covers. Spray a liberal amount on the top of the hot tub covers vinyl. Then, spread evenly using a damp soft cloth (such as terry cloth or an athletic sock). 303 Protectant will NOT air dry and evaporate. Use a second DRY cloth to finish the hot tub cover. Extra buffing with a dry cloth INCREASES bonding, repellency and longevity.

Hot tub covers that have an odor

5). Clean the hot tub covers foam cores as detailed above
6). Dry both the skin and hot tub cover cores with a towel
7). Leave both the hot tub covers skin and cores in the sun for a few days
